Medium gives the standard balance of clues and mini-games.
A proper seek-and-find scene is packed with people, stalls and visual decoys. Start the sweep, zoom in and hunt for four small pieces of evidence hidden among the clutter. Misses and time trim your bonus; completing or skipping the sweep unlocks a deterministic evidence packet.
Tip: the evidence is deliberately blended into the clutter. Use +/− to zoom; on desktop drag the zoomed scene, and on touchscreens scroll around it.
Interview every suspect. Informative statements are truthful Bog Board constraints; an occasional refusal is comedy only and is explicitly not evidence. Nobody lies in the standard Daily.
Interrogate the evidence, not the characters. Easy gives up to two useful questions and Medium gives one. Flush 'Em Out stops at a two-suspect shortlist rather than naming the Poopetrator — the Casebook and Bog Board must finish the deduction. Fewer questions earn a bigger bonus.
Questions eliminate suspects; the survivors are only a shortlist. Record the final WHO on the Bog Board.
The answers come from structured suspect traits and the solver-certified solution — not from live AI. This mini-game narrows WHO did it but never confirms the culprit. Use its shortlist with the Casebook and Bog Board to prove the complete suspect ↔ location ↔ evidence ↔ Turdprint chain.
One suspect visited each location. The offence location remains part of the deduction on every difficulty until your casebook and Bog Board prove it.
Every clue maps to a real solver constraint. With the neural pack installed, your selected lead investigator can read every opened clue aloud.
Easy and Medium use explicit × Impossible / ✓ Match tools so corrections never cascade by accident. New V2.8.2w cases also show only the number of final accusations still compatible with your logged facts — never their identities. Hard keeps the deliberate blank → × → ✓ → blank three-state board. In every mode, the Bog Board is your deduction workspace and the final accusation must be proved there.
Run a limited forensic triage. Easy can reach one profile; Medium deliberately stops at two. Hard removes the shortcut mini-games and instead requires the full three-test panel to identify the crime-scene Turdprint; the Casebook and Bog Board must still identify who owns that chain.
The label simply says “DO NOT OPEN NEAR LUNCH”.
Each authorised test excludes one incompatible register entry. Medium ends with a shortlist; Hard requires the complete panel so the forensic anchor is strong enough for a fair no-shortcut deduction.
The register shows the surviving result after your authorised tests. Medium returns a shortlist. Hard returns the crime-scene Turdprint only after the full panel, then leaves the suspect/location/evidence deduction to the Casebook and Bog Board.
The sample identity comes from the solver-certified declaredSolution.profile. Test results are deterministic case data; no live AI decides the forensic answer.
